First of all, I will say a few words about the title.
How many megabytes of text have been written about the correct translation of the name of the album of the legendary Pink Floyd - "The dark side of the Moon" - this is not the reverse side, and not even dark, but "Unknown", "Hidden", "Invisible". After all, it is true - we do not see it from Earth. And there was a time when it was believed that we would never see her. The time has come, and we have seen - not only the "hidden" side of the Moon, but also many other things - previously unattainable and incomprehensible.
There is also an analogy with "Dark Matter" / "Dark Energy" - astronomical terms denoting a part of the Universe hidden from our vision and understanding, which, nevertheless, affects the World in global scales. These substances are not at all dark and not black - they are unknown, hitherto незаметный.
We can recall a series of electronic experimental albums by the father of traditional electronic music - Klaus Schulze - who left our world this year - "The dark side of the Moog". This title is both a trolling towards Pink Floyd and a deep thought about the inexhaustibility of any means of creating electronic music. And even Klaus Schulze failed to exhaust the possibilities of Robert Moog's analog synthesizers.
The three listed examples (of which there are incomparably more in the world) create a sequence of names that can be understood only in the paradigm of the ever-expanding horizons of our knowledge. And my musical experiments of this intuitive-improvisational session are devoted to the same topic, and an attempt to look beyond the edge that hides the unknown from us, but inevitably awaits us in the future, where we are striving and where we will definitely find ourselves regardless of all our fears before this meeting.
This meeting is frightening, as is the title of the session - it may turn some listeners off - I fully admit it. But what to do? - the future scares most of the people living on Earth. It is this fear of coming change that gave rise to such religious memes as "The End of the World" and "The Last Judgment". Indeed, the future does not always bring only gingerbread. There are also difficulties, and even catastrophes. But we have the biggest problems when we cling to the past and do not want to tear off the veil of the inevitable future. Unwillingness to change is our biggest vulnerability.
I'm not an exception. Not everything seems safe and rosy to me either.
Maybe that's why this music came to me and some thoughts related to the allegories of the coming changes.
The music was surprisingly light and soothing. And I share it with you with great pleasure - let our "dark" for the time being, unrevealed, unmanifested future of ours not scare you. And may it be good. And it will be good only when we accept it with all our hearts.
I hope this music will help to accept it.
